Walters Wrestling is excited to announce Sam Barnett as the newest member of the coaching team. Please join us in giving Sam a warm welcome to the Walter’s family! Sam is a 2021 graduate from New Bern High. His enthusiasm, skills and love for developing youth wrestlers make him the perfect addition to Walters Wrestling. He is one of New Bern’s greatest wrestling talents and we are lucky to keep him local to help the future of New Bern wrestling. During his time as a wrestler at New Bern High he was a team captain both his Junior and Senior year. He had tremendous individual success and In 2021 he placed second in the state at NCHSAA tournament at the 126LB weight class. In his free time you can find him along side Coach Lanche assisting the New Bern wrestling team. He is as good of a guy off the mats as well as on. Sam is excited about this opportunity and would like to invite ALL wrestlers to join him at Walters Wrestling!

Walters Jiu Jitsu is a family friendly environment for those who wish to learn the art in a structured, fundamental based, high energy class.
